Living alone can be expensive, requiring you to own everything related to your life. While decluttering isn’t always necessary, it’s important to keep your space organized.
To maintain a clean and tidy room, you need to store things away. If you can’t see them, you won’t feel bothered. However, “can’t see them” doesn’t mean hiding everything under the bed. Instead, store items in boxes or containers. These boxes, seemingly ordinary, can bring order and warmth to your belongings, giving them a sense of belonging.
As the seasons change, after washing and folding clothes, put last season’s clothes in plastic boxes, books and notebooks in cardboard boxes, and small items in smaller boxes to avoid clutter. These boxes are more than just containers; they represent organization and a deeper understanding of life. You can use “5S management” to manage these boxes, instantly elevating your item management to a professional level.
Some people believe that boxes create a quiet space for clothes, allowing them to converse with time and space. Old clothes might hold the warmth of a mother’s love, while shirts might witness important moments, seemingly carrying memories and emotions. However, as time passes and possessions accumulate, memories become less important, and emotions fade. True life is about living in the present. I recently decluttered my closet, hanging up all my clothes and wearing one outfit a day. As long as they’re clean and changed, boxes are no longer needed.
For small, unclassifiable items, boxes are the guardians of order. A small, transparent storage box is intuitive and clear, transforming clutter into order and making tidying up an enjoyable experience.
Boxes teach me to prioritize. Since we can’t store an unlimited number of items in a limited space, I constantly evaluate what to keep and what to discard. When a box is full, I re-examine my possessions, simplify my life, and understand what truly matters. I also realize nothing is truly irreplaceable. This isn’t just about organizing space; it’s about sorting out our inner selves.
These boxes, precisely because of them, can make a person’s life more organized and less cluttered. They give every item a “home,” effectively organizing life itself.
